Plan for the worst, but hope for the best...

I will be wearing many layers (Hot Chilly's gear goes a long ways), and I recommend getting a neck wind blocker and good winter gloves as that will make it much more comfortable and help to avoid your hands getting fatigued...

I wore these last week at PMP, and they worked out great on the track!

You should be able to pick them up at any motorcycle shop... I bought mine at Performance Cycle at Broadway and Evans...

I would prefer that you don't wash your Under Armor, as that will give me all the incentive and motivation I need to pass you up and get upwind as quickly as possible...

I just talked to Jay (the track manager) and told him we had 6-9 bikes wanting to get on the track Saturday, he said there were some cars (only 3 so far) that would be there, too. This will mean setting up sessions so the bikes and cars don't mix it up (we can't do that anymore). I've been thru this numerous times and it's no problem. Jay asked that everyone try to be there no later than 10am, so he can sign you in and collect $. If anyone needs to be later, I can take care of signing you in, etc. so don't worry.

Thank you for getting the final word on that question, as it was asked earlier...

To combat fatigue, I don't see a problem with splitting it up into 20 or 30 minute sessions and should work well, like it did for NESBA at Miller...

I'll try to make it. My bike's in the shop and I'm waiting for chain/sprockets to come in, so I don't know if it will be done in time. Hopefully, if it is, I'll be able to find someone to trailer it down at the last minute. We'll see.

If not, at least there's fresh powder on the mountains!

I would love to get the race bike out on a track....riding up and down the street just doesn't do it....however, Elk hunting is this weekend so its a no go Everyone have fun and be safe.....remember even if the air is slightly warm, pavement is still VERY cold!

    Guys,

Normally Earlene ( who is on vacation) has me showing the new people around and explaining the rules.

So for those of you who attend I will have a quick meeting around 10am to go over the do's and don'ts of Pueblo.

I have already promised a few people some track help, so if anyone wants a little assistance just find me

I will either be on my GSXR 750 # 55 or a blue and white GSXR 1K Street bike.

Since I live in Pueblo (and actually spend a fair amount of time at the track although it's for drag racing my Hayabusa or taking my car on the road course) I might stop by and watch for awhile.

I've got some bad, horrible, disappointing, depressing, disconcerting, sad, sick, awful, pathetic, unsatisfying, unreasonable, unethical, unbecoming, unbalanced, news.

I can't make it to the track. I've got to work and in doing so perhaps redeem myself just a bit by telling myself I'm making money to buy that new duc. I knew this was going to happen I knew it was too good to be true.

Re: PMP Track Day - 11/18/2006 (Saturday)

We have been reviewing the weather, and it appears that Sunday will have a much better outlook than Saturday will...

    Saturday: 54F & Partly Cloudy
    Sunday: 60F & Clear

    Just for kicks:
    Monday: 67F & Clear (*sigh*)

I am adding a Poll to this thread, where everyone can choose either Saturday or Sunday... Majority vote will decide which day this event will occur...

Feel free to leave any feedback, especially you Bassil, if doing a Sunday track day would be better for your scheduling...

Re: PMP Track Day - 11/18/2006 (Saturday)

    Alan,

The weather is only calling for 55 degrees. This means that we are going to have limited time on the track because we really can't get tires up to temp because the track surface is still cold.

if we try and show up later...by the time we get unloaded and ready to go we really will only have a few hours of track time. Then to add that a few cars will be out there as well, we will be running sessions.....so the earlier we get there and get set up the more sessions we have to run

And it would be easiler if you are driving to pick me up..
