    Re: New member introductions here

Hi all. I've popped in and out a few times but never intro introduced myself. I even rode with a few of you up to St Mary's last fall. I guess I'll introduce myself now because I'm bored. I ride a '93 CBR 900 RR right now but am thinking about giving it up until the kids grow up a little and I can afford something newer. Maybe ya'll can talk me out of it.

P.S. - How do I get added to the "Rider Finder" list?

Wow the C/S street racing scene must be a bit ghey if you're part of it w/ a 650s.. are you racing geo metros? Are you an EXTREME racer?

PS - when they ask if you want it super sized.. say NO!

I don't think you can get added to that list. The last I knew the Rider Finder list (I'm assuming you're talking about the one on the main web site) was obsolete and no longer maintained. Spiderman would be the one to check with though. Your best bet is to post in one of the ride-related forums (e.g., the regional forums, canyon carving, track day, etc.).

Nate's correct - the Rider Finder and Member list from the main site stopped getting updated in the summer of 2003 (too much manual labor). We should able to simulate them through the message board in the near future. Stay tuned.

    Oh, and welcome.

Hi, I'm new to here. I'm in a neighboring state but closer to you than most of the riders in my state.

Brizzy - is it your avitar or your "Felix" thing at the bottom that locks me up? ONE of them is a HUGE memory hog!!! Makes it a real pain in the @$$ to scroll past as the it keeps freezing every time a post of yours comes up. Yours it the ONLY one on any of the boards that I'm on that has ever done it. WHY?

    Hey All,
I'm new to the site, just found it last night. I am looking forward to riding with you all. I am still breaking in the new bike (04' CBR 600f4i). Are there any rides coming up??

Well, yeah. When you live in the middle of nowhere, developing high-speed Internet connections is a pretty high priority so you can communicate with other people. :P

They highest the local phone company will "gaurantee" w/o an high cost line is 2800 baud. So we just use cable so we can use 3 MB.

    Re: New member introductions here

I'm already known by a few, but I thought i'd tell a little bit about myself here.

I'm in my 3rd year at metro state for criminology & criminal justice. I am currently an auditor but that contract ends Oct. 31st so I will hopefully get a job as a fraud investigator, I should know if that came through in a few days.

I used to have an R6, I now own another yamaha *sigh* a virago 750. I love sportbikes but currently can't afford one.

I joined here, because a lot of cruisers ride without helmets so they don't acknowledge me, the ones who do wear helmets wonder whey I wear a cool one, and the sportbike riders think i'm a sportbike wannabe.

So, if ya see me out there, beep that horn a few times, I like sportbikes 99% and cruisers now 1% thanks to my unfortunate accident and my lack of funds.

    Howdy!

New guy here. I've been corner working for MRA for a couple of seasons now, so you've probably seen me from very high rates of speed. I've been known to hang with Dysco quite a bit, but I just use him to mooch Ralph's beer. Don't actually own a bike yet (don't tell anyone) but I'll be getting one soonish

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

No. And Brizzy can't load a motorcycle into a truck.
