yoyodynetia?

edit: typo on the thread title, sorry guys

Anyone have their stuff? I'm looking at a rear subframe from them. Looks pretty stripped down compared to the OEM version.

Re: yoyodynetia?

Are you looking for a race sub frame or street? Usually the race sub's will not have all the tabs for mounting lights, undertails, rear pegs, and what not.

Re: yoyodynetia?

what Lurch said. if you ever plan on riding a passenger again, you will need to stick with the OEM sub frame.

Re: yoyodynetia?

if I could find a street one for the same price as race then great. But in the long run of things I see myself on the track more.

No worries about passengers.

Re: yoyodynetia?

you will probably want to pick up a race tail since these subframes do not have the provisions for your rear cowling either

Re: yoyodynetia?

Paul,

This is pure sillyness. Go on e-bay and find yourself a stock subframe. There is no reason to go with any kind of lightweight super duper model yet as the cost/benefit ratio just isn't there. If you're going to do a trackbike conversion on your gixxer, then there are way more important things to buy first, starting with fiberglass bodywork.

At this point you've done some trackdays at IMI, and that's a good thing. IMI is hardly a place worth converting your bike for.

There won't be any effective way to mount your lights, license plate etc on the bike with a race subframe and while the lightweight AL models are sexy to be sure, they are also much more likely to be destroyed in a crash.

just my .02
