If Hastings is full or too much on your budget, try Grand Island. Its the biggest of the 'Tri-cities' and will have alot of available motels. It is about 15 miles north of Hastings (8 miles north of I-80). You will most likely get a better rate as well.

Rooms at the Comfort Inn (the official host hotel) are only about $60/night if you mention you're with MPH. Other hotels are here
You can camp at the track for the whole week end for 25 bucks or something like that. They have showers and everything there. Its a lot cheaper that way. Its what I do.
