    Xenon Headlights?

I'm looking to put some xenon headlights onto my 2008 GSX-R600. Anyone have any experience with these? Can you recommend a good brand? Details on installation? Just trying to get some first-hand knowledge prior to making a purchasing decision.

    Expensive but bright.

I ran plasmas till they burned out (after a year?) but I flash my brights on and off.

Now I just use the top end standard H4's and they are bright enough to piss other drivers off at night...but I see where I'm going for $15 a bulb vs. $40 or so. HIDs are nice, but very pricey, and you can't just toss them in. They need that nice little ballast kit.

Look into the Sylvania Silver Stars. They are very bright white/blue light, and they are not that expensive.

Pep Boys, believe it or not. I've had them in for a year now and they are doing just fine. That would be with around 10 to 15,000 miles

Yea I'm doing that now too. 15% brighter and they are. Space in the fairing is pretty tight for a ballast.

Check ebay. I got some h4's for 2 bucks. I haven't gotten them yet so I can't tell you if they are brighter. But they marketed that they just drop in and they are bright white replacements.

My owner's manual calls for H11's on the low beam and HB3's on the high beam... do I still use H4's or do I need to get H11's or HB3's? Not very familiar with lighting...

If your willing to put a few extra bucks into it the LED light bars are really nice also. I put the 9" bar on my truck it works very well. Vision-X makes a 6" that would work for a bike. Very bright, no warm up time, and low power draw.

Here is what mine looked like. The 2nd and 3rd picture shows one with the old and one with the new. Old one is on the left side there. The first one is when all were changed.

I sell HID's kits for cars and bikes.. I have a kit on my 01 r6 and it's great.. Had for over a year with no issues.. Same kit i have on my car, my friends car and my friends back.. email me if you are interested. dsmboi@comcast.net This is a real HID kit, not a bulb with blue tint. It has a ballast, bulb, etc with the ignitor built in.
