I guess it depends on how bad the chip is, and how much finesse you have with the paintbrush.
But in a high-impact area like that, I wouldn't stress it too much. Getting it to look and stay "original" is a futile effort.
For what it's worth, ColorRite does make the OEM paints for all the big brands though, so you'll definitely have a 100% color match.
