My neighbor used to be TSA. I've never met a more egotistical, power trippin' bunch of retards in my life!! Well, actually, I used to know a few armed security guards. Talk about a moron fest!! None of these dip shits know the law. They all need to take one of those bus tours that end up going over a giant cliff!!

You beat me to it. That is what bothers me more than any of their crazy rules or regulations, when you cant even question it without being hauled off something is seriously wrong.
It has gotten to the point where I dont even like to fly anymore. If I have the time I will drive rather than fly if the distance is a 1000 miles or less. Now if I can RIDE that makes it even better...
You guys ever been to Siberia?
Ever been to a camp to assist you in "concentrating"?
Ever mouthed off to a TSA official and returned to talk about.............

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
--Thomas Jefferson
People have been wrongfully harassed for centuries in this country and around the world. This is not really new; people in positions of authority have been using ‘positional authority’ as a way to intimidate people for longer than the United States has been around.
I think it is a little quick to cite erosion of liberties. We live in a commonwealth society, which means (generally) that something is legal until there is a law making it illegal. By the very nature of that kind of legal system laws are more often passed to prohibit things then allow them. I don’t agree with all the laws in this country and our system is still flawed but I would rather live in the United States and be a US citizen than live anywhere else.
But that is not really the issue here, in my humble opinion. The really important thing to take away from this is; “Know your rights and don’t act like a jerk.” The guy dealing with the TSA at the airport did exactly the right thing; he kept his head, acted in a professional manor and let the other people make asses out of themselves. When I was in college I had to take several law classes as a part of my program. It is amazing what people don’t know about their rights and what kinds of messes they will get themselves into.
To give some context, here are a couple of videos that everyone (law enforcement included) should watch. The first is a lawyer discussing the importance and the real application of the 5th amendment. The second is a police officer with 20+ years of experience in interrogating suspects and his techniques. They are worth watching if you have never seen them before. I am not saying this is the way to handle a situation with LEOs but it demonstrates the importance of knowing and understanding your rights.
Part 1: Mr. James Duane, a professor at Regent Law School and a former defense attorney, tells you why you should never agree to be interviewed by the police.

Part 2: An experienced police officer tells you why you should never agree to be interviewed by the police.

Like I said, know your rights and don’t act like a jerk.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "undocumented pharmacist"
LOL...how the poor fellow appeared to be suspicious initially might be an interesting story as well as the leap from "Am I lawfully required to answer that question?" to the DEA.

Awesome! "What do you plan on doing with all that cash?" <sic> "Um, buying hookers and some snort. What is it to you????"?
Maybe I'll just start carrying enough cash to get thru the checkpoint. Ya know enough to not look suspicious...
then, I can slip the guard a $20 so I can catch my fucking flight and pass the bitch with 20 damn carry-ons!
hahahahahahaha...

To reinforce what I was saying earlier about:
"If you think that the airports are run under anything other than military rule, try to kindly voice your opinion to a TSA official. No swearing, no hand gestures, just concise verbal objections. See where you end up. I bet it is not on your flight. "

I think it is funny how everything on here becomes a discussion of Obama ruining America...the guy has been in office for three months!
I have a good friend who has been detained overnight several times in south Texas in the last 10 years just for driving down the freeway in a nice car and when pulled over with no cause and illegally searched found to have $1-2k in cash on him. In that part of the country it is ok to do this as they are fighting the "border war" or "drug war" or whatever the newest was is which of course means anything is legal including unjust search and imprisonment.
Last I checked Texas was W's state as governor and he was "the man" for 8 years....yes this happened under HIS watch...and I also remember something about covert phone and internet surveillance a few years back...hmm.
Slow and fat, but entertaining...
