66 and sunny for Sunday in Pueblo
Two things to think about:
1. Next Chicane trackday is not till June and is at HPR
2. Last time, online ticket sales closed on Friday afternoon. Gotta add an extra $20 for buying at the gate. So don't wait till the last minute.
Rybo, feel free to correct any of the info above if I am mistaken.
I can't seem to get an answer from ChicaneTrackdays on this so thought I'd see if anyone else knows. Maybe it sounded like a stupid question and wern't gonna waste time answering, but I'm brand new to trackdays and think it's a legit question.
Would I be able to run my cr500 in beginner and my zx6r in intermediate every hour, or just every other hour? If every other hour, do I have to run them both in beginner? I signed up for beginner a few days ago not knowing that I was gonna come across a sport bike the next day.
Thanks in advance.
I believe that you'll be running one bike per hour in the beginner session... either the kawi in beginner or the honda in beginner
I'll try and help. I don't work for them so don't take my word as gospel. You can always PM Rybo (Scott), maybe something is funky with the email?
I would assume (again, this may not be Chicane's answer) you can only run one bike per hour and it would be based on your riding level, unless the bike is a significant hindrance. But I don't know of any bike you couldn't run in medium, as long as the rider can ride it at the level. If you are new(er) to the track, than run both in slow. And if you have some quality track time under your belt, then you should be able to run both of them in medium. I've seen plenty of tards in medium.
First, I'm sorry about the contact form on the website. It's been broken for a couple days and my IT guy is working on it. I have not been getting any info from the website e-mail lately.
No problem answering the question for you.
The sessions are divided into 20 minute segments.
Beginner at the top of the hour
Intermediate in the middle of the hour
Advanced at the bottom of the hour.
The day is really designed around the rider's ability, not the speed of the bike. If you think you can go around in the intermediate group, that is where you belong on either bike. You are welcome to bring both bikes, but I probably won't let you ride in two sessions.
Thanks
Scott
Wow, not only did I give the right answer, but I beat you to it. I should be on the f'ing payroll or something

One more question. Any input appreciated. I picked up a set of Power Race take-offs with about 20 laps on them. Front is a PR-C, rear is a PR-E. I'm not running warmers. Will these be suitable in 60* conditions, or would I be better off leaving the stock tires on that the bike came with from the factory? I don't recall what's on there, but it's what ever came on the 2008 zx6r...
I want this sunday to be nice, I can't handle getting rained out of any more track days
