It was turn 1, god damnit. Shouldn't have happened... carried to much speed off the straight and didn't break hard enough. It really felt like the stock scrape-peg on the bottom of the right footrest pushed the rear tire up and broke traction. Not sure though, happened too fast.
Time for some new rearsets.

so did it flip onto the front is that how the gauges died? Im sure you were not watching at the time, but did anyone talk to you afterwards and tell you what they saw, like the guy behind you?
Definitely!!!
Worst part was is happened at the beginning of the 2nd session... 3rd lap I think. Sigh.
Never did talk to the guy I passed on the straight. The gauge cluster disconnected during the crash, but I manually took off the fairings at the track to see if I could uncover any damage. Not sure if the cluster works... the killswitch box took a good hit and I can't get any power; hoping its just a shot battery or a loose wire in the killswitch. Time to start chasing that problem in a day or two.

Glad yer OK though! Yeah, it's a biotch seeing yer bike torn up, huh?
Dang Wayne, thank gawd you DID loan him the leathers! =)
You look okay and it's only a bike. Main thing is that it's better to test the limits on the track then it is the street. Bad things happen on the street. Besides, it looks like the bike faired pretty well, just plactics and little things. Don't beat yourself up. ALOT of people crash at the track. And alot of people have crashed many times. As long as you walk away from it; chalk it up as a day where you spent a little more money than you thought. Heal up
