    Reducing points

Anyone know how or if you can get points reduced on a ticket to nothing and just pay a bigger fine or something? Got a ticket last night and want to see if this is possible and even worth it.

Most tickets you can mail in early for a reduced fine. Otherwise you'll have to talk to the DA on your court date.

The last one I got, I went to court. The DA came out with everyone's dockett and offered everyone a "plea bargin." It was universally th next lowest citation and accompanying fine.

Yes, that is standard (so long as the notes from the officer state you were cooperative and well mannered). If you were a jerk, the ticket will stand (trust me).

Talk to DA instead of mailing in, you'll get even lower points, but fine will stay the same (+ court costs).

Yes its worth it. Talk to the DA and see if you can get zero point ticket and or talk to the judge since he makes the final decision. You may have to pay more and go to a class but that is the end of it. It usually won't show up on your record and follow you around forever. The insurance won't spank you for more money either. Give it a shot because you have nothing to loose by trying.

hahaha!!! Servers you right!!! Young punk! I hope they charge you double!!
Seriously now,,,that sucks, but you really have to watch it, they will write you up every time now....(they need the money to)
If you have to go to court you can take the plea bargan deal and it will lower your points a lot. I had a 6 pointer (cage ticket) brought down to 3 and paid a $230+ fine. You might ask the judge if you could do something to reduce it some more, drivers class or something...??? Good luck!!!

Been working alot. Not making money like last year. Decided to go a different way with the track/race bike, so it's gonna take longer.
