I emailed lt. Imhe of the patrol division for Gilpin County and he's not aware of any sport bikes in use by his patrol officers... maybe the bike belonged to sanitation or county assessor...

Gambling revenues = millions of dollars every year.

And the legend of the GCSO Gixxer lives on!

I'm sure we will all find out about whether or not this rumor is actually the real deal. There will be a post up of "Just Got Busted --- blah, blah, blah........"

And yes this has to be made into a HD bashing thread because HD suck more then the Red Wings
Oklahoma Highway Patrol. They know how to ride them to. They sent them to the California Superbike school for training.

Confirmed with a Gilpin County Deputy... it's a HOAX! They sold their last two motorcycles (BMW 650s) in June/July '07.

I just saw a special on the news last night. Castle Rock is now deploying Enduro's throughout the summer to get into places cruisers and their HD's can't reach. I guess they have a spike in teenage crime through out the summer (smokin weed & drinkin) in the back trails and hideaways of big bad Castle Rock so they now need to be able to actually come into the woods after you.

This is what happens when there is a lack of crime. Over funded Police Departments (who are extremely bored or a lack of a better word) start "finding" things to do.

It's like a supervisor who has nothing to do, or legislators who have nothing to do. They make rules so they have something to micro-manage.

Notice how much you hear about Adams County, Commerce City PD, etc. on the news? Absolutely NULL. That's because something jacked up happens every night in these neck of the woods. If 9news, Fox31, 7news, etc. covered stories they'd be up to their neck in shit.

But when something happens in jeffco, castle rock, etc. - it's all over the news.

I know the cops in Adams county are laughing.

No shit. What a kush job that would be to just drive around the woodland areas of Castle Rock and look for teenagers smokin weed or drinking, then chase em down.

That could almost be considered the dream job ...if there was no bureaucratic paperwork involved when you caught someone.

I remember when cops first started riding mountain bikes down at the beach in SoCal. It seemed like a joke IMO. Cops in short shorts like the guy on Reno911. Too funny...

After you left, he was on the radio telling the other deputies, "You won't believe the line of bullshit I just fed this guy on a sportbike."
