I work with cops all of the time and there is almost an expectation of "professional courtesy" amongst emergency personnel. I understand why it is there and take no issue with it in some circumstances. (I've been lucky enough to get out of some situations due to it as well.)
However...THIS article is just insane to me! The hypocrasy that this whole thing is laced with is unreal. I can't believe that the judge isn't throwing the book at him right out of the shoots. It is unbelieveable that OSP transferred the moron to TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT - let alone allows him to continue driving state vehicles. Yes, I know that he hasn't been found guilty yet, but what about paid leave pending the results of the trial? Or office duties? Both of these cops exhibited an extreme lack of good judgement and there is so much to this story that concerns me. Interesting story regardless of the varied opinions for sure!

Also interesting to me is the fact that the cop says he is looking for no leniency, yet changed his plea when he found out that he might get his license revoked. He admits he is guilty, but is pleading not guilty. ugh!
Oh and I just read elsewhere that the faster cop is supposedly on disability for a back injury from last year after slipping on ice while on duty and injuring his back. Nice.
