I know there are lots here that would cringe at the idea of riding their R1 for anything but track use. I personally just like riding the bike. Can't stand the idea of any of the modern pigs they call sport tourers. (that are more tour and not enough sport).
Anyway. Rode from Denver to Las Vegas, L.A, down the coast to San Diego, across the desert to Lake Havasu, The Grand Canyon, and back up through the Colorado rockies home. Managed to stay mostly on 2 lane roads with some forced freeway travel.
