Nice! I've got some great pics from AZ this summer, but they were lost (here only) when the server died. I posted some cool pics as I went across almost the entire top of the state on the 4th of July weekend. I look forward to maybe hitting Sedona and the Grand Canyon next year if I can as I've got a friend near Sedona and a place to stay.

    Re: Touring on a Sportbike

I know I'm coming into this late, but let me just say that everything you've included on your wishlist is is found in an '02-'09 VFR. I know that they are classified as sport-tourers but they lean heavy toward the sport side of the equation with the added bonuses of a slightly upright position and a 210 mile range between fill-ups. I hope that you'll take my word for it when I say that, in regards to handling, the only thing that will stop you from going as fast as you like in the twisties is you. They simply do everything you ask of them. You probably won't find another bike, in any catergory, that is more stable and confidence inspiring. Yes, I know they look porky on paper at 530lbs wet, but they handle like they are 70lbs less than that, and with some simple modifications you can easily shave 35lbs. Also, factory and non-factory hardbags and softbags are available through numerous sources and make the occasional tour much easier than does an array of bungy cables.

Anyway, I just thought I would throw that out there. You can PM me if you'd be interested in seeing and possibly riding (weather) a fully tuned '08.
