Not my shot, but this is a shot of Monica from Halloween. She went completely goth. Her outfit was amazing!

congrads on the studio... i had that for a while, but now its all packed up in a garage. I just prefer outside... less setup and preparations...
Thanks! I'm psyched about it... after months of procrastination.
I felt like I was becoming too dependent on "available light", and not experimenting enough with other avenues of creativity. This was laziness due to my comfort level with natural light shots; I just didn't want to learn something new. So I really had to force myself to acquire studio gear. It's making me learn how to use strobes properly - which is another step in the learning process I'm excited about entering into (after my initial hesitation)!
Funny- a lot of people are asking me how I shot that one. I've gotten inquiries from hanging upside down, to using high powered fans...
I actually had her kneeling down on the floor. She would then lean forward (with her head almost on her knees), and then quickly sit up and whip her head up/back while pushing her hair back with her hands at the same time. In that stop motion shot, her hands had just come out of her hair. It was actually quite a bit of movement.
Believe it or not that shot was only at 1/200th (inside the flash sync of 1/250th). I'm amazed myself there isn't any blur. Even at 100% zoom, everything is sharp as a tack.
Those are all great shots!! Looking good there Whicky!!
Whatever jack ass.
