Looks like you can only book hotels one year in advance so we have a couple weeks....I have already called numerous places and they won't take reservations until 1 year.........already counting the days
it's rare to be able to book online more than a year out. most hotels will happily do it over the phone though.

Currently bikeless, but will be BMW shopping again come springtime.
I called several and they said no.Originally Posted by Mista Black";p="221441
hmmm that's odd. the hotel i just quit (albeit in the Springs) had several reservations in the system for over 3 years out.

I am so happy that the GP's are back in the states once again - there's nothing like them, especially with the new motors their running. Maybe I'll make it out for this next one, since it's been 11 years since my last GP!

We stayed at Motel 6 off Hwy 1 in Marina -- quick (10 minutes) and easy access to Laguna Seca and Cannery Row area. It is showing some age, but we got it at a reasonable rate at the last minute. Beach is a couple of blocks over the hill.
There is a Holiday Inn Express across the street that looks to be a bit newer.
If you want to avoid some of the traffic issues, some of the hotels (e.g. Embassy Suites in Seaside) are on the special Laguna Seca bus routes (free ride with MotoGP ticket).

Do they have some secret route for those buses or something? Because this year, I dont care who you were, you were stuck in traffic for sure!! Even Rossi got caught up in traffic and was late for his morning practice on Sat.!Originally Posted by Boy Scout";p="223289
Scer and I met this one girl who actually lives out on turn 2, Im hoping one of us can make really good friends with her and maybe have a place to stay for free (again) next year!
We had absolutely no traffic problems getting to the track from the motel (aside from some misinformed traffic directors at the track). The intent, not sure how successful it was since we came in the back way, was for car/bike traffic to use the two back entrances to help free up the main entrance for busses.

I am looking at the Holiday Inn Express in Marina. As Nate said...close to the track...we were there by 6:30 or so every morning too which helped miss traffic and stayed late each day to miss traffic leaving. Hotel is close to beach, Cannery Row, and food. I like the location and think it was the best looking at other places and traffic issues. The back way in was definetely a benefit and QUICK! Its kind of strange how you get to the track....its really not a "true" road, but goes through some old army buildings and then makes it way to the track......thanks to Nate we had almost no problems!
I keep checking on hotels....only a few more days until we can book!
We didn't have traffic issues, other than getting into and out of the park itself. The roads weren't bad. We stayed in Salinas FWIW...
