A Few pics from the GP

Here is a couple pics from the GP that I took today, Hopkins, Hayden, Hayden playing around, and a pic of a cop who knocked his bike over while giving a ticket to a few guys on pocket bikes for some stupid reason (broke his windscreen and some other odds and ends)

It would be next to impossible to not bust out laughing at that cop! "Here's your tickets, don't let me catch you again....." CRASH! I would have been rolling on the ground!

Jason you're in Laguna? You lucky shit.

I'd be laughing at that cop too until I realized that the money to fix that bike is probably comming from tax dollars.

    Nice pics!

The guy standing behind the bike (wearing the #59 shirt) looks guilty - he probably "helped" it fall.

Lel, the 1st picture did not show up for me, but the others did.
Love the lean angle of Hayden. Love the cop picture. That should be photo of the month.
What's it like at a GP race? How many people would you guess are there?

Re: A Few pics from the GP

GP race is amazing. It is SOOOOOOO busy. I would guess 150,000 plus. We are planning on getting there at 6am tomorrow to beat the traffic and to to get a good spot in the flagroom. A friend left his motel at 8:30 took 3 hours to go about 20 miles because of the traffic. So you really want to get there really early if you want to miss the traffic.

As for the bikes, !!!!! they are the loudest thing I have ever heard. MAYBE just maybe if you put your ear to the back of a two stroke you might be able to match the noise. I have been walking around the paddock a bunch and having a really good time. I got Wayne Rainey to sign my Faster DVD but I have yet to make it over to the motogp pits. They are very hard to get into, lines and lines to just walk through and see things and they are only letting people in every once in a while. I am planning on checking the garages out tomorrow. I would say, if you have the opportunity you deffinately need to come next year!

I miss Laguna Seca! I used to go every year and watched the last GP races held in the US (at the time) in '93. That is the most awesome track with the elevation changes. Thanks for the pics!

I look at these picks and all I think of is how much pressure these guys are under to perform.. Its kinda scary.. every single turn is balls to the wall gotta make it happen or I risk my job... I like being an amateur thankyou very much.
