I came up with similar (nonconforming) numbers...
(150lbs rider + 325lbs bike)/38hp = 12.5
Which is less than the min of 14:1 in Spooph's original post.
I find it awesome that our DRZ's are considered "overpowered"
Now, we're probably being a little harsh on him, and those numbers might have just been pulled out of his arse, but I do admire the spirit of the ride.
Wait wait wait.... mine is 235lbs rider + 459lbs bike / 160hp = 4.3375. Did I make the cut?
