Great to put a few faces to forum names, awesome ride! I was the only other one that was 2up - at least we learned how to take the frost heave section better on the way down.
Great ride today guys, awesome meeting more CSC members. Hoping for more rides like this before weather turns to complete crap lol... Sweet RC51 btw man

Pretty glad that I decided not to go 2-up today after seeing the roads and idiot cagers on the crawl up to the summit. But it was definitely an awesome ride! Thanks for hosting Grim! And I forgot to mention but give kudos to Mrs. Grim for the awesome cookies! Also, big shoutout to Alpinestars! I think Clovis would agree lol!
+1 ^^^
Good ride. It was nice to meet all you new people!
Awesome ride today, thanks to everyone who showed up and made it a good ride now I'm gonna have a beer and order some motherfuckin Chinese food!!!!
I'm so warn out right now
Awesome ride! Great group and a great pace. I'll post a seperate thread but today is the classic example of why full gear should be worn.
Full gear - Being able to dust myself off, pick up the bike and keep on trucking!! No injuries (just a twisted ankle - its not bruised or swollen). The equipment took all of the punishment and also prevented a lot of damage to the bike (since my leg basically acted a frame slider).
No gear - major injuries, possibly life threating. I'm 100% certain this would have resulted in a hospital trip.
Minimal gear (jacket but jeans and non-racing boots). Broken ankle and knee - severe road rash and perm scaring and likely damage to my leg.
Full gear - We picked up the bike and kept on trucking!!
I hope my spill inspires you guys to get track paints and race boots. I'll post a full write up later.
Just glad it was a minor incident bro and that you and the bike are good but this certainly opened my eyes that even though I don't make enough money but I have to sacrifice and buy proper gear. Luckily nothing has happened to me as of yet but definitely want to be ready in case that day comes. Great to finally meet you man haha

Watch ebay. I picked up a pair of Sidi Vertigo boots that were worn once for $100. They were basically brand new when I got them.
These are the ones I saw:

Sidi are great boots. Check out Moto gear outlet up off sheriden and 76 the have good deals
Sidi is on par with Alpinestar. I'm pretty sure Matt (Drift on here) uses Sidi boots.
Sportbiketrackgear.com sells everything and they do a full video review of everything they sell. Here's the one on those boots.
