in the second pic, it looks like he grabbed a handful of the front brake. doesn't look like the front wheel is spinning at all.
IMHO. In the first picture- I think he’s pointing/posing at the photographer, who possibly is his wife or friend. He wanted the riding photos of himself to demonstrate to others how he tamed the drago. Poor dude...
