    HELLZ YEAH!!!

I saw some cellphone video last month of the downtown Austin scenes. I've been waiting to see the actual promo.

Can't wait to plug the computer into the TV tonight and watch again in HD...

Anything worth watching begins at 3:45 and ends at 5:40. Rest is just fluff.

Ironically that driver has done something VERY few people will ever get to do, drift an F1 car in the dirt!

    A) That looked like a unhealthy amount of fun
B ) They should throw some rally tires on the F1 cars and just run them around the dirt track...

    A) Absolutely
    B) I was surprised to see them running slicks. I figured they would have at least thrown some rain tires on it or something with any kind of tread. Rally tires would have been sick. Just watch the opening sequence when he's going down the dirt road, every time the car revs a tiny bit, the entire car shimmied.

Yeah, I saw that, when they did the Red Bull on ice thing, they at least fitted spiked winter tires, I really expected anything but slicks...which made it all the more amazing in some respects...

I think they should hold an open lapping day for bikes and then for cars so I can rally my STI around on that thing...

That was my first thought too! I would think they at least put air filters on it but who knows, Red Bull has no issues with spending money

On a similar note, I wonder how the chassis stood up to all the roughness??

    Re: Cowboys & F1

It is an older V10 engine, they cannot use a V-8 because of the engine freeze for the current engines and using a "current V-8" would be considered "testing" by FIA. It is actually an older Red Bull chassis (I think I read a 200 painted up like the 2011, the suspension has been modified to allow a much higher ride height to allow them to use it on city streets. There are some nasty bumps on that streets where they filmed the road segments here in Austin.
