Re: Slower paced ride for newer riders 7/31/10 1PM Thorco

I might make it depending on how the puppy training class goes. I'm tired of riding around Tower/Gun Club/Iliff!

Is there anyone else heading up from SE Aurora?

You don't really have to ask for permission if you can go. Just post on the thread letting them know you are coming, so they know how much people to expect.

I'm going to try to head out from my place at 12:15 to hit the 120th/I25 Conoco. I'll be going past the 7/11 at Mississippi/Tower if you want to try and meet there. If we've not met by 12:30 I say we meet up there.

Safe riding to all!

I think you'll find that you dont' need to ask, just need to do. It's on you to determine if your riding suits the purpose of the ride. Also, if you join up and a)get bored or b) find it's a bit over your head, then let the sweeper know you are bowing out and do so.

welcome to the board!

Re: Slower paced ride for newer riders 7/31/10 1PM Thorco

Great ride! Think we had 12 or 13 people total. Ended up splitting into two groups around Lyons... and took it at a good pace. It was being Sweep on the first group and watching everyone progress through the day. By the end of it folks were holding nice lines and really settling into their own flow.

Hot damn Estes was a parking lot though! Didnt see a single cop, no wrecks, no breakdowns. All around good time... The portion of peak to peak and 7 into lyons would be a hoot with some real deep twist of the throttle! Cant wait to go back up there!

Tank, it was a pleasure meeting you! The ride had it's downs, but definitely more ups. I think everybody learned a lot.

Personally I had a great time! There will be many more not-so-fast, but not-really-slow, just-come-out-and-have fun types of rides.

I hope that's clear enough...

Re: Slower paced ride for newer riders 7/31/10 1PM Thorco

Fun ride this weekend, I snagged a few photos while we were stopped, didn't want to try and use the camera phone while riding. Great meeting and riding with you guys. Photos are from a stop at Estes Park and a stop at Oscar Blues.
