Week 2, day 3 of Insanity
Shaun T. tricked me (or I just wasn't paying attention. I'll blame it on him). I thought today was the cardio/yoga/low key/stretching day, but no, it was interval training. With lack of sleep and not getting home till late, it wasn't my best workout. All and all, not to bad, but it could have been better. It's the third time I've done this episode, so I could get through it, but now I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.
Again, the one thing I don't really like about his programs is that he doesn't do enough stretching. And he doesn't mix up the stretching. The way he does it, doesn't really work that well for me. I've started to incorporate my own "alternate" stretches at some points. Especially calves. So if you try this program, give yourself an extra couple of minutes to stretch out till you feel good. He only allows 3-4 min twice an episode.
FYI: "ski abs" are a bitch! But on the upside, for the first time in a long time, I had to use a belt for my pants this morning.
Nice bro sounds like things are going good! Do you feel like the workouts incorporate the entire body and help trim down overall body fat? Dropping waist size is definitely a good sign

I am lactose intolerant so I have to take a whey isolate and have found I like Dymatize Elite Whey Isolate the best. It also contains a proprietary digestive enzyme blend (Zytrix) to help amplify absorption, and to make Elite even more agreeable to lactose intolerant individuals. I used Muscle Milk for years too since it has no lactose, but for some reason I got tired of it because it was a bit sweet. I actually like the taste of Dymatize better now. I thought that Muscle Milk was supposed to be one of the worst protein drinks out there for you?
Weighed in at 213 this morning. Down 14 lbs in almost 2 weeks. This diet is tough, but the results are insane.

I have learned a lot about calories and how food works. I found out that high sugar foods make my body store fat and water instantly.
I found out that rice is really good for me, and I need to eat more fruits. Apples are bauce.

Week 2, day 4
A nice little cardio recovery day. Pretty easy. The only thing I couldn't really do, is hold some of the squats for as long as he/they can. But I'm okay with that limitation. Angela started coming down with a cold, so I was flying solo this morning. It helps remind me what a value it is, to have a workout partner there all of the time. Still enjoying it and still seeing results, but it is getting a little repetitious. I'm kind of looking forward to the fit test on Monday to see how I've improved.

The Glycemic Index, (GI) of the food, how it is cooked, the portion and pairing with other foods can make the difference. What I mean, add a super low GI food with white rice and the process of absorbing the meal is changed.
It is disturbing how processed food looses so many nutrients.
A disaster is how the USDA is not looking at the root cause of the lack of nutrients in the soil, but are looking the other direction. Link GMO is trouble.
