Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "undocumented pharmacist"
Is it because they're tall with not much weight on the tires and there's a bit more pitching? I rode my beginner track bike (CBR 954RR) across snowy and icy roads back in the northeast, and I could get away with slides even at slow speeds. The WR just kept going one way, or the other (wouldn't catch after getting it back upright).
Haven't really learned very well how to change motorcycle tires yet. Maybe Shinko 244s and some chisel-tip studs?
Can you hook it up with a set of studded for the R1? cause if so I am mobbing 365

FYI: studded tires are brilliant on the snow/ice.... but are like ice on dry roads...

Any DS tires with adequate tread depth work for studs. I have done a number of sets of Conti TKC80s, Pirelli MT60s, and a couple of sets of Avon Distanzias. The Shinkos should work pretty well, and have the advantage of being dirt cheap, assuming they have a front that will fit on your WR. The new Kenda Big Block looks like it might work as well, but they don't have a suitable front yet. If you source a set of off road rims (21/18-), then you can get into a whole different world of DS traction options.

Coworker just texted me (he already knows that I'm going to yell at him on Monday for texting+driving)...
On his way home he saw a Ural. So that means it was somewhere between I70/I225 and Stapleton.
Awesome. Just one more reason that I need one of those.
Now I am going to go get in my truck and hang my head in shame.
