So I hate to be the guy to revive a dead thread.......but being that this has been my first winter with a bike I decided to follow the manual and store it since I wasn't sure how many riding days I would get out of the winter here. Seeing how many days my boy has been able to ride I decided to un-store it...put in the battery off of the charger, filled up the tank, turned the key and hit the start button and all that stuff. Engine turns over but no starting goodness....so what's the cure here? What can I do to get her purring again?

Yeah...I am not the most mechanically inclined person in the world...doubly so with motorcycles since I have only been a bike owner for a little under a year...so what I am hearing is call someone to pick up the bike and take it to a shop to let them figure it out.
You drained the tank for winter?

Yep....that is exactly what the Owners manual says to do...so yeah after hearing some of the responses on multiple forums to the fact that I drained the whole tank I think that is probably the last time I trust the owners manual when doing maintenance.
Well, I would not go that far, but not nec to drain the tank. Is the bike fuel injected?

Possibly...but I have no idea how to do that since the manual basically says reverse what you did to store it when you look for taking it out of storage...no reak instructions on how to get fuel back into the system...so I have just been trying to figure it out for myself.
If it's fuel injected and you drained the tank and then ran the bike til it quit, it can be a bitch to get it started. I don't know if there is a specific procedure for that. I'm sure some others will respond.

It is indeed fuel injected and as per the manual I did infact run it until it died....unfortunately there is nothing in the manual about getting the fuel back into the system
