    margies makeover...(cbr 1000rr project)

so thought i would share what i've been doing with my bike...

bought her bone stock... while back i had a small mishap and laid her over.. luckily had all my gear on and was as ready as one can be for a wreck..

put her down in a pile of sand and cracked the right side fairings..
so at that point i decided to just go thought and completely work her over.

here she is day 1, all stock.

    cracks from the wreck

after my first day of pulling parts

    cracks prepped for repair

after the first pass with the plastic repair stuff.

new parts starting to trickle in

Oh do white! A solid white CBR with black carbon fiber trim would look awesome!

Hahaha! Funny, it's my boy's RR in New Orleans, LA! I ride it every time I go home to visit. It gets tons of looks. You can't see in this pic, but it's got blue metalic flakes, matching the windscreen, in the white paint that really shines in the sun. It actually started as the same color scheme as yours!

I've had an all black bike and it's cool in it's own right but there's just something that catches your eye about a white bike.

Grim recently painted his zx6 white and it came out pretty spiffy.

Yea im doing my own paint work... In my baby garage :-)... So after thinking on it a bit I'm gonna stick with black... I've already purchased paint so no need to waist money... Im on a super tight budget anyway... And you can always repaint!

    Re: margies makeover...(cbr 1000rr project)

so i took a break from sanding and decided to work on something else for a bit.... so i was going to do this the right way but i just dont have the time or resources.. i talk to a few guys over at 1000rr.net who have done it this way and it has lasted for them so i decided to give it a shot...
just used some 120 grit and about a half bottle of mean green to get it prepped and cleaned up...
