    Looking at New Boots

After 10 years, I have finally worn out my old Corcoran Mach boots. Now I'm looking to replace them.

The reason I liked Corcoran Machs so much is because they we as comfortable as tennis shoes, and they were under $70 new.

I want a water-resistant, comfortable, conservative-looking black boot, appropriate for sport touring, offering good ankle protection in size 9 or 9.5 regular or wide.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

(No white plastic space boots with rainbow stripes or thigh-high patent leather gogo boots, please. See pic below for an idea of what I'm looking for.)

I think I may have seen some similar to the ones in your pic at the Army, Navy Surplus store on Broadway and Hampden. May be worth checking out.
