So after Mdub and i battled on a few games of darts, i left JD's Bait Shop and met up with my buddy Kevin from the "Riders" group on facebook (mixture of crazy nuts, and cool laid back guys) at about midnight... We met at the shell off of colfax. Gideon from G-force (dude can wheelie like a mofo) and two 2-up tandems. One of which was a stunt rider and his lady, (who can do some crazy shit riding 2-up like wheelies and drifting). The other 2-upers was a girl (who was heavy on the throttle) on a gixxer 1k with her man on the back. yep you heard me right. so then we gained 2 more dudes to our group.. one named matt, the other William. So any way, we cruised down colorado to i-25 and passed a denver LEO coming in the other lane toward us. We were doing about 60mph. well we didn't see him brake or anything so we get up to I-25 and Kevin decides to pull off into a parkinglot to answere an "important" phone call. Caught us off guard and figured he'd catch up..... So, we hit I-25 (now those of you who have ridden with me, i pretty much just cruise and rarely speed) not a car in sight just open highway!....... So Gideon who was leading takes off (about as fast as that R1 he has could take him) and all of us fallowed suit. So we're flying down I-25 and William who was in the back (who i could tell was riding very cautiousl in the city) takes off and passes us on his R1.....I looked down and speedo read 115mph..... The out of no where i look to my left and there is mr LEO right next to me, hits his lights and i'm thinking, Fuck!!!!! he got me. I looked down at speedo as i was slowing down and it read 110mph. He then passes me and the dude Matt and pulls over William... I imediately turned of my green neons and got the hell of the highway (just in case he called some LEO friends for backup...) So i head back to Market St. and shortly after William pulls up......I couldn't believe it..... he got pulled over (suprised he stoped for LEO actually) clocked at 155mph. The kind officer told him that "he was too young to be risking his life like this. SMARTEN UP, and that it was his lucky day and he'd let him off with a break... but tell your buddies if i ever see you or see them speeding like that again, he'd call it in and impound everyones bikes..." <------So that lil break he gave William kinda gave me a little more respect for SOME LEO's. I actually did learn a couple lessons tho, 1. Cop Cars are FAST! .... and 2. I will no longer be influenced in shenanigans when i'm riding with a group (seems to be the only time i do anything crazy).... i'm gna just ride the way i like to ride, and everyone can just wait for me.....I'm a husband and a father of 3, so i definetly plan on sticking around!
