1st post, anybody else up here?

So I am new to the forum and thought I would introduce myself and maybe find some people to ride with. I have lived in Colorado all my life and moved to the Guffey area a couple of years ago. Haven't been riding much lately and need to change that! Anybody want to ride of have a ride coming thru this area this weekend?

Haha! Two places to eat and drink, and a massage parlor! Nice.

Welcome!

Re: 1st post, anybody else up here?

Guffey has a massage parlor and I didn't know about it????? Wow, I really need to get out more....

Anyways thanks for the welcome!

If anyone is looking for company on a ride up here I am happy to meet up. Woodland Park, Divide, Cripple Creek, Canon City and Salida are all within easy reach.

I have been riding all my life and can pretty much hang with anybodys riding style, hell I have even been known to stoop so low as to ride with guys on harleys on rare occasions.

Nice, haha! I had to look up Guffey too, never heard of it and I grew up in Colorado.

Welcome to CSC, some beautiful mountain roads down there.

Re: 1st post, anybody else up here?

Welcome. Wait, I'm new too... I live in the Springs, and one of my favorite loops is up 24 to Guffey, and the back deck at the Bull Moose makes a great pit stop. Then on to Canon City and back to the Springs. Can't do it this weekend, but maybe we can work something out another time. Sunday's are usually best for me.

Re: 1st post, anybody else up here?

Hey Mudpumper, Sundays work for me too. All I need is a couple of days notice and I am good to go. Normally I try to avoid riding on weekends, but so far I am not seeing the usual invasion of out of state cars and trucks with ugly campers and/or boats driving 12 mph down the roads this year. Not sure why, maybe the fires or the economy, but there aren't very many up here this year.
So yeah, weekdays or weekends I am good to go!

I was up end of June and see they paved most of the old dirt roads around 11 Mile.. nice.

Re: 1st post, anybody else up here?

Hey texlurch,
I am actually a few miles southeast of Guffey just off of High Park Road. The only dirt road is the mile I have between my house and High Park , and it's a pretty easy stretch.
Hopefully we will get lots of nice weather for riding before the season is over. It looks like the weather is gonna warm up towards the end of next week, so I am going to get out and do some riding. Let me know if you are around and want to go.
I like your choice in bikes, I just picked up a silver 04 ZX 12 this summer. It's a great bike!

Re: 1st post, anybody else up here?

High Park is a GOOD road...

Will be nice to see another 12R on the road.. only ever ridden with one other at Deals Gap.

I'll be back in town after Oct 10th
