"You live more for five minutes going fast on a bike like that, than other people do in all of their life." - Marco Simoncelli
Ill give you the concerns/reasons why I wasn't really interested in that one:
No slipper clutch - I'm riding a bike right now without one, but they seem to be really handy for racing.
Suspension - Its set up for like 225 lbs, so a little money will need to go into new springs. Probably call up STM to find out $$$.
And then a good reason why... ITS ONLY 3K!

well the good news is, as far as suspension goes, i work with TWO red level certified honda mechanics (top level of cert) and i can get parts for cheap. so yeah lol. not much of an issue. i weigh about 190 right now. how will that effect handling on a bike sprung for 225 pounds?

Slipper clutches are not necessary. Joe is a good guy!
I checked out the bike myself, even rode it and its just awesome. Don't think about it, just buy it!... Slipper clutch you can always buy later, blipping is where its at!

The 600RR platform is much more track friendly than the F4i Platform. 600RR will take you nicely to an advanced level. if it has a aftermarket full suspension it will keep you happy at an advanced level.
This advice comes from my experience. I've owned a F4 and an 05 600RR (pictured in my avatar). Loved that bike. Should have never sold it.

I love bike shopping.
If you suffer sudden decrease in hearing and loss of vision then you're in trouble if not carry on haha
Sick dude, one step closer!
Yea, I rode a 07 CBR600RR (Sprtbkbabes') at the track and man what a blast that was. Bike is very forgiving and just extremely friendly when you're throwing her around lol, it did have a slipper clutch but I was still blipping the throttle lol, didn't know I didn't have to, just used to it from the street bikes lol... Had a good experience with that platform though, I'd definitely rock a Honda as my first race bike.
[QUOTE=maktastik_jr.;703430 ive been sporting a half chub since tuesday night. should i see a doctor about that?[/QUOTE]
If you could get this part under control PRIOR to looking at my bike..I would greatly appreciate it.
In terms of the suspension. Springs are cheap and I *may* be able to source the correct springs for you

Just not that important. Learn how to ride the bike. All those fancy go fast parts don't help you go fast. That comes with practice. I would never, not buy a bike because it doesn't have a slipper. I use the left handed slipper on all of mine, even supermotos, where they actually can make a difference, but they only really help with backing it in.
Having a slipper or the number or other small performance parts will not make enough of a difference to make them worth the expenditure, mental errors will cost you more time than any of those parts will make up for. Seat time and practice will make you faster than all that crap.
Bueller is 100% correct. Slipper's, quick shifters, auto blippers, etc.. are all cool. But a new racer needs to learn how to ride the bike and track first. Adding this stuff does help later on, however can really slow you down when you are learning simply because you are not learning to control the bike, your learning to control a "gadget"...learn to be smooth without all this stuff and you will go faster in the long run
ive allways been a firm believer in bare bones mechanical rigs. i dont need traction control, no slipper clutch, no auto blippper, whatever the fuck that is. i wanna buy this bike and learn how to rail. i wanna learn the right way, and not be nursed through it with modern conveniences.

dont oem slippers suck anyways? both my r1 and my zx6rr have them but i dont feel as though im getting away with anything special when banging some rowdy downshifts. dont feel much different from all the other non slippers ive railed. im all for technology if itll make me safer and faster! however after one season on track i dont think i could even activate a traction control system on like an s1000rr. any modern sportbike will be more than enough capable for 99% of riders. id really like some abs action for street riding though.
