for sure more money in cars then bikes, Vale should go F1 race right after Yamaha ,but looks like he wasnt that good on it . Then again Ducati paid him back for doing nothing before they went to Germany for loan .Vale is back and on Yamaha ,book is still open , bye Stoner ...
Interesting quote in your sig. Considering This!!
I do like Stoner and am going to miss him racing.

"stoner mopped the floor with him in the past 24 months"
Rossi left a 7 year built, championship winning yamaha to try to turn that piece of junk ducati into a champion bike. The same one that stoner left for a honda. On rare occasion, it actually IS the bike

Yes stoner is the shit *rolls eyes*... Rossi doesn't have shit to envy Stoner, they're both competitive and highly skilled. I dk why people now crack down on Rossi for nothing, Ducati couldn't deliver for him and now he sucks? Give Stoner a P.O.S bike and Rossi a good bike and see how that goes... What great logic lol
^ stoner did have a crap bike...and he won. A bike that Rossi had a difficult time passing in the corkscrew a few years back ( shown above ).
I just wish he was still in the GP paddock kickin ass and fighting for the title. But anyway......Stoners the man.

Somewhat true, but then again, not. Look at Hayden and what he's done in the past, ON the Duc for instance. The past few years, he's been better than how he's been the past couple seasons, and thats mostly due to the team revamping the bikes geometry and a few other changes that actually did the OPPOSITE of heloing. Not only that, but the Duc team is notoriously slow at putting the rider's feedback in motion, and making the changes the rider enquires about, Hence the major benefit in Audi stepping into the picture....
While yes, Stoner did have a string of luck on the Duc, it was short-lived, and after his championship his wins were few and somewhat far-between. After his first championship, it seemed like he was crashing out in just about every race....
While I loved watching Stoner ride and climb all over the bike while shooting lasers from his eyes, smoking a pipe, and pleasuring a woman, (at the same time, of course....because he IS the MAN), and sliding the ass end around a corner, he just doesnt/didnt have the mentality of a champion. Physically, he was very "fit" for the series, but I think mentally he was lacking, hence his early retirement.
Will I miss watching him ride? sure. Will I miss his bitching and whining? Not even close. Dont let the MotoGP paddock doors hit you in your sore ass on the way out!
THIS!
Im excited to see what Rossi is going to be capable of being back on the Yamaha, and even more excited at the prospect of him and Jorge battling it out again. And, according to his FB and fanpage, he's feeling right at home back on the Yamaha. He said he's noticed how much more powerful it is than when he rode for them in the past, but he's also said he's missed the bikes handling charachteristics and flickability, and said comparatively the Duc was VERY lacking performance-wise....
That's from The Doc's mouth, himself. I'd tend to think he knows what he's talking about.....
Then again, I prettymuch bleed blue and white, so I could be somewhat biased..... lol

In his last season on the duc, stoner also complained it had no front end feel, and was the reason for numerous crashes
He's still an amazing rider though

Yea nothing against Stoner, guy can ride the shit out of anything with wheels but Rossi is still damn awesome lol
What a rivalry...that's what I'm going to miss the most. Take your side... Then prepare for battle, well , not anymore. : (
I'm betting on Lorenzo ( maybe Marquez) to spank Rossi in Stoners absence. What do you think?

More importantly, with Audi's help, do you think Hayden will continue to finish ahead of Rossi after his switch back to the tuning forks.

That's the rivalry that kept it interesting for sure, nothing like pure skill being tested beyond limits
I hope Stoner writes a book on riding techniques. I have to agree that there is something seriously wrong with his head. He's in the prime of his career and he just up and leaves? Can you imagine how many people would kill to be in his position. Do you know how many people I would kill to be in his position? lol
I liked the Rossi Lorenzo team rivalry of years past. But I would like to see Rossi return to his former greatness and win another championship before he retires from the game.

On anything even approaching equal machinery Rossi always mopped the floor with Crashey Whiner. The only reason Stoner won that championship on the Duc is because with those stupid fuel limitations they were the only ones who figured out how to save fuel on trailing throttle so they could use it during full throttle to simple run away from everyone else. You could see how the duc simply ran away from even the honda and that NEVER happens. Then when he won it for Honda, it was abvious that it was by far the best bike, as evidenced by how Pedrosa as well as Whiner was able to ride it the last couple years. The TC and stability control on those things is awesome. Without it you'd NEVER get slides as long and smooth as they can. There's a reason why Rossi has, what, 7 titles to Stoner's 2?

Heck! I admire Stoner's decision to leave when he did. He's in it for himself, which in the end, is the only sustainable way to live life. He says it isn't any fun anymore, and I believe him. Life is full of adventures and time is fleeting. If this trip isn't getting him the feedback he desires, find another path.
Good on you Mr. Stoner.
