From the ZX6R forum, nothing like getting caught doing 150mph and not worrying about it.

He's got bigger problems to worry about than an impounded bike, if he ever gets out of jail maybe lol

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Is it just me... or are the ZX6 forums = stunna forums?
An example... same thread.
Started riding January 2012, may 1st. got 70-55, group speed, I was in the back on a ninja 500 with a passenger, TOTAL BS I was like 30 yards back too. Next day, get 83-65, same thing, group speed. Me in the back. Fast forward two months, just got me a 04 636, go to movies with this hot chick, (would later lick her asshole DDD) was leaving movies, didn't stop at stop sign, kinda roll stopped, cause it was a new bike and I was nervous with said chick on the back, got a ticket for not stopping, Now I started continuing all the court dates and stuff, then like 1 month later I get pulled doing 80-55 in my truck, almost got away too (if only i stayed down the side road for another minute) guy charged me with reckless, anyway, decide to go get a lawyer, blah blah more continues, get everything dropped in one county for just a reckless, and in the other county which was the one I got the 83-65 was exceeding safe speed. My insurance is still $22 a month. Clerk of court messed up a couple times, caused me to have a failure to appear, which was later fixed, but ended up me getting my license susended, which was supposed to be postoned, but was not, by the CLERK OF COURT, thats two times now they screwed up, and then I went and paid for the exceding safe speed online, and the computer screwed up and paid for the other ticket, which was supposed to be dismised. And then I had to get that fixed too.
Lesson learned? THE GOVERNMENT IS TOTAL BS. Costed me hundreds of dollars because of their own mistakes, yes I will admit, I was speeding, but because they can't even do their own job I have to pay more.

What? No Grim trolls on the zx board.
Im moving over there....
Hey thats no fun!
he seems ok with it lol...
He got it reduced to 10 over with a 400 dollar fine. Not sure what the big deal is. He got lucky this time. Not a bad deal after getting clocked that fast.
I remember my 18 year old bike days too so I can't blame him much. The only difference was I didn't stop.
Lucky kid getting it dropped that much with his other stuff on record.
Knowing how I drove vehicles when I was 18, I know its a good thing I got a bike once I was 27, and not before.
Riding has tamed my vehicle driving too. I don't feel the need to push so hard anymore.

So where are all the guys that have hit 150?
I will stir the pot a bit....
Honestly I feel you havent 'really' ridden your bike till you have maxed it out a few ways and can control every aspect of it. IE stopping on one wheel and being able to ride a wheelie out for a 1/4 mile on the highway. Then you know how to ride the bike.
Its immature if you are doing it all the time but I guarantee the guys that "know their bike" are that much better at riding them.
I own my bikes, not the other way around.
There are however a few higher end bikes that are not really designed to be ridden that way but for the most part the throw aways can take it all day long.
All of us have done our fair share of dumb shit, I've gone past 150 more than once only thing is I do it in isolated areas where there's minimal to no chance of hurting anyone else and now I take all my need for speed to HPR !

My top speed day on the 14 Speedo is on the left.
I have not hit the rev limiter in 6th on my 1k, or any bikes that I have ridden, but I have been well past the 150 mark on several occasions.
I personally think I am still to new of a rider (started riding last spring) to be going for 1 wheel stoppies, wheelies, or dragging a knee (on the track).
I do plan to change some of that.
I am planning on taking the Pridmore Star School in May at Chuckwalla, and I intend to get out to HPR for a track day or two this year. Even if I never actually join the MRA to race, I plan to be comfortable on my bike to the point where MRA racing could be an option.
I know my limitations currently, and ride below them, despite what some of the others guys I ride with say (never heard a bad thing from responsible riders, just other new guys that push a LOT harder than me). I am more comfortable going up hill through corners than down hill through corners, so I usually end up quite a ways behind the group once we get down the canyon. Going up, no problem, I can keep up (within reason).
All things I plan to work on this season, as well as spending some dollars getting the suspension tuned by STM (stock 1K suspension, with a fat guy riding it, it can't hurt), the trip to CA for the Star School, and the gear to ride at HPR some.
P.S. - Tips from more skilled riders about cornering and about down hill corners specifically would be very welcome.

This bears mentioning.
When I have really cranked on a bike it is only on a road that I have scouted for crappy pavement, cross traffic opportunities (driveways, intersections, anything), police, sandy or oily conditions, and only when there is almost no traffic (preferably none).

You saying that reminded me of this..... Going about 160 on a road we had scouted and already ran once. Missed it by inches.
What is that?
Its an animal, isn't it obvious??
I have definitely done 150+ but like Damir and Grant it is on a very remote, deserted road. I did race for about 5 years when I was younger, more fit, and more fearless. Stoppies are no problem, not freestyle grade but carry the wheel a foot or two off the ground. However, my wheelies are garbage!
Well yea, just can't see it very well it's blurred lol
