I'm looking at a set of DanMoto rearsets for the 12 but have never heard of the company. They are American (Reno NV).
Anyone heard about these guys before? Anyone have a set?

I have their carbon fiber exhausts on my 09 R1. The sound is great and they still look great after 2 years. I don't know about the rearsets but at least I can say I am very satisfied with the exhaust. Especially for $240 shipped.
I've heard of them before, and as much as I remember it's been positive reviews.
Cool. Thank you. The rearsets are seriously inexpensive, which has me wondering. But, I'll give them a shot and see.

There is a lot of discussion about DanMoto stuff over at svrider.com. Just like most any knock-off, the parts are cheaper because they are essentially copies of established items, and the quality is OK but not top notch. IIRC some people have complained about the paint fading on dark parts but overall they are ok.
Let me know if you get these for your 12, I'd like to try them for my 12 as well that is a killer price.
Tell ya, I've searched all the companies, and the issue I've been running into is the amount of rearsets made for my bike. I simply cannot find any. If I could find a set of Woodcrafts or Attacks or even Vortex....anything like that I would bite. Gilles however, still has some out there, but other than that, pickings are slim.

Kind of expensive, though. Ouch.
Thanks for the help guys, but it's looking like I'll be sticking to my Chinese Danmoto's.
The Gilles are nice, but not that nice. Thanks for the info

Yea, Gilles aren't cheap. Let us know how it goes with the Danmoto!
Will do. I wrote them a nice email inquiring about the rearsets. They responded within 24hrs and gave me a brief explanation. Yes the product is made in Asia, and they import that product direct. They were very nice and backed up the rearsets 100%. I'm looking forward to trying a set.
