Yeah use an ez out. The stock bolts are designed to snap the heads off at the designated torque to make it harder to steal the bike.
An air hammer with a sharp chisel bit makes quick work of these bolts at the right angle. Know anyone who is an auto tech or works at a bodyshop?

Use an angle grinder to remove the heads. Then slide the lock off and if you want to remove what's left of the studs you can loosen them with vise grips.

You begin your riding career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
I used a Dremel to put slots in the top and used a flat head screwdriver and some WD-40 and they came out pretty easy.
Thanks!

A left handed drill bit will usually back these out with minimal effort...
Thanks, Jim
