    Anybody have kids that ride?

Just wondering. There was a thread years ago for getting the kids together and riding but I never did it. That was forever ago though and I don't think anybody from then is even still on this site.

I totally agree. Even Porsche knows you have to cultivate the future. It's the reason they keep putting a back seat in the 911.

My daughters turns two next week, she has a y-bike and a strider and I already have her first 50cc lined up for when she's a bit bigger.

Think the y bike before a strider or just go straight for the strider?

Nice man! Where go you guys go ride and how did ya get him started ?
Started my son on a 50 and it was so so on his love for it. So we waited a bit to long to upgrade and he kinda got limited by the 50. Got him klx 110 though as his want and excitement had returned. His first bike with a clutch! He's so stoked about that. He just did a super camp and for now is hooked on bikes. I've yet to ride dirt so I don't wanna jack him all up. Watching him at Imi and at camp has shown me that and I need to get my ass a dirt bike soon. Lol. Love seeing he's riding progress though that is freakin cool.

Most weekends we are out at IMI at least one day. There are some real nice national park trails we ride sometimes too. He started out with a yz85 but that bitch was just too much for him, so I went and got the 50. He loved that and as soon as he was tall enough and had enough patience, we got him on the yz85. He is going to outgrow that this next year most likely and he is pretty damn excited about it.

When are you out at IMI?

Re: Anybody have kids that ride?

I was taking him on the weekends and mostly when I was riding mine. So we were out there or at pmp. Might be there Sunday. My pop is going to take him cause he wants to play with his new klr, but they might go down by rampart. If he goes to Imi I'll go up there too. Not riding though my knee is jacked atm.
I was wondering how the lil track at thunder valley is. It's close to my house. I'd be able to take him al lot more.

No, that's too small for even the smallest kids. It's there simply to cheapen the insurance so that people can stretch their budgets to fit it.

I guess it has a dual purpose.

Re: Anybody have kids that ride?

I have a 2003 YZ125 with 42 hours since a complete chassis and engine over-haul. It pains me to sell her but after a number of physical injuries, I really shouldn't ride it anymore (and haven't for almost two years). The stroke on the shock and fork has been shortened, so seat height is about 2.5 inches lower than stock (shaved seat too). I've got $600 in the suspension alone and it is sprung for a 110 lb. rider. Many extras including a $300 GPR damper, fat bar, after-market triple clamps, V-Force reeds, FMF Fatty pipe and silencer, Racers Edge built engine (Jim also did the suspension), gripper seat cover, steel braid lines, ASV clutch lever/perch and shift lever, IMS pegs. It even has new (one ride) on a set of Dunlop MX51 tires. It's been a terrific dirt bike for me and needs a new home. So those of you with a up and coming kid, this bike is a one-time find. I'll just keep her if I can't get $2k.
