Welcome! Here is the new member thread - http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forum...8NEW-thread%29
Welcome to the club and being the first newb in the new newb-thread.
As for the exhaust, I'm a big fan of loud while being clean (or at least looking stock). I replaced the interior of the OEM cans with A&R baffles (even left off some of the fiberglass insulation for fun) on my 08 R1 and while it took some getting used to (how loud it is), I love the sound. I also don't agree with the phrase "loud pipes save lives", however there are a few times where the sound of the bike does get cagers attention....just be careful in the canyons. Folks tend to complain about bikes running the roads not normally due to the traffic of it, but the sound of it. I do miss pounding highway 7 and no one really being the wiser...

Welcome! What part of town are you in?
And I think I will stick to my stock pipes on my SV1000. You know, the ones with the baffles removed and crazy loud Vtwin
