BlueDog, Dave... What time would you be back from your shorter version? And are slower folk (like myself) ok? No hurt feelers if you guys want to crank it and don't want slower folk
(Plus I'd be a maybe anyway)

See you at 9 homies. I'm tagging til at least deckers like Dave and Corey. And possibly longer to maybe woodland park or cripple creek. We will see what route back you guys want to do. I dont know what hwy 77 is but I can look it up.

77 isn't anything special....except for being one of the greatest roads in the state! But it is difficult to go slow on it

I'm confused... Is this ride tomorrow? 9/20?? Or next weekend?
The title says one thing, but the OP's first post says otherwise?

Yes, tomorrow 9/20. It's now sort of 2 rides... The main original ride to Glenwood Springs, and another group splitting off at Woodland Park.

If they are indeed taking Clovis's route, it looks like we will actually be splitting off at Divide (they will turn south, we will keep going west to Lake George and take 77 north). This loop from Moco to 77 to Moco is about 190 miles.
BTW, Sydney, sorry for hijacking your thread. Hope you don't mind our ever-growing group tagging along to Divide.

Yes excellent ride. There were a few of us that still did a shorter ride, MOCO to Deckers to Woodland Park then Cripple Creek. The main group split off to Glenwood Springs. Another bit of us went 24 west to hwy 77 and up to 285 then back. Still over 200 miles anyways for a ride despite it being a shorter ride. It was a gorgeous day out thee perfect weather and turning aspen trees everywhere

Well, that was fun. Rain, hail, frigid temperatures and state troopers. The scenery was fantastic and so was the company. I'll post some pictures in a day or two when I get a chance to get them off my phone. Deb, Sydney, Mike and Sydney's parents, Lisa and Rob, it was great to meet you all. Elliot and Bob, good seeing you guys again.
For those of you who only rode with us as far as Divide or Cripple Creek, you missed out on an adventure.
What happened with the state troopers?

Riding the whole time so I didnt stop to take any pictures other than this one at lunch. This is what the trees looked like at Cripple Creek. The whole ride in was gorgeous so if you are one of those who likes to se the leaves change, I suggest you get into the hills this coming Saturday it should hopefully be the peak of the change and the weather for Saturday is listed as no rain:

Nobody got any tickets or anything - the cops just ruined our fun by being there (in the right place at the right time, or wrong time, depending on your perspective).
That was a pretty epic weekend of riding conditions when all is said and done... The rain on the passes made them interesting... I thought riding through the ruts in the ice at the bottom of the west side of Kenosha Pass was something to brag about... and having my feet slip out from under me (on black-ice) when we stopped for traffic at the top of the pass actually worried me a bit ... but neither of them were anywhere near as scary as riding sweep and watching the bikes in front of me start fishtailing, just before I started fishtailing, coming down on the east side of Kenosha pass!!!
Thankfully everybody kept their bikes upright!!

Wow. Helluva write-up, WB. Sounds like a capital-a Adventure for sure! Glad nobody succumbed to any black ice!

Hmm.. for some reason I can't upload images. Did that ability get taken away?
My understanding is that you have to host the photo somewhere (photobucket, flickr, your own server, etc)...select "from URL" and you have to make sure you *uncheck* the "retrieve remote file and reference locally" option when you add the image too.
