    coming home

I'm moving back to the Springs in less than 2 weeks, would love to get a good ride in when I get back. Anyone down for the weekend of the 6th if my bike doesn't need a ton of shop work?

Also would love to find a road I could get my bike going on once, haven't really ridden since last March, I need a good adrenaline rush haha.

    Re: coming home

This forum is pretty dead for ride meet-ups I think, but I'm usually down to go out riding on weekends, I'm in Springs as well. There are a couple of decent FB groups where people post on a lot to meetup for rides. Most of the local riders that I know don't leave the city to ride too much though, which I find pretty boring nowdays.

I'm from the springs and I don't ride at all in the city - only canyons baby.

Same here, city riding is just too dangerous.

ColoradoGK, define what type of adrenaline rush you looking for? Scraping pegs or pegging the speedo?

And Tykho there is only one Springs FB page I've seen for riders, and it sucks. Seems like a bunch of adolescents who just like to talk about "Bros and hoes" and just meet up at Shell to do their racetrack laps on the city streets.

I'm down for doing rides most of the time, and I am also in the springs.

Oh yes, the Shell "riders" -- bunch of posers with their flat bill hats and ICON back protectors and too big for my head helmets.

I tend to just get up and head out. Guess I need to meet some local peeps tho...

Be back home in another week or so, lets all get something in the works.

    Re: coming home

I don't really find city riding all that dangerous, and I'll go out for some quick jaunts when I don't have a lot of time. It just gets pretty old quickly, and I'd never try to structure a ride around it. I also commute to work pretty regularly. I just ride aggressively and spend as little time around other drivers as possible.

Hibs, if you're referring to Colorado Springs Sportbike & whatever name they've added on for the week, there are some pretty lame kids on there, but there's some really good riders too. I haven't ridden with a group since last summer though.

I don't doubt that there are some awesome riders in that group, but the majority of those guys that post on the page actively, and the few that I've bumped into when I check out this "Shell" scene, were total D-bags.
