When he first posted about taking pics of everyone's ID we talked it out and he removed it from the post. It's all good, we talked it out and I understand his reasoning about it, I just would never agree to that. But it's not an issue anymore. I will be on this ride, I haven't been out and about in some time now.

Just to re-iterate, there won't be an ID check on this ride. Good intentions and logical reasoning behind but decided just not the best way to discourage deviant behavior.
Most everyone that I've ridden with on the CSC have been great - 100% of the regular riders. The bad apples are fairly far and in between. Not to mention they don't last long with this group.
Kat: If Drift is coming on this ride (and I hope he is) and he decides to ride sweep and you'll be in very capable hands. If you're not familiar, the sweeper hangs in the back to make sure that no one gets too far behind and also to act as a first responder in the event of a crash or mechanical problems. The sweeper is not the slowest rider, far from it - they're an experienced rider.
You wouldn't knew it from his bike (a ninja 250) but Matt is actually one of the faster CSC'ers. This guy has ridden all over Europe and even the Isle of Man. In my first season of riding Drift was always right there, making sure noobies like myself didn't get lost or disappear into the brush.
I guess what I'm saying is... Drift... I love you.
Clovis I've personally seen you do some stupid shit on rides lol, you still live down in Fountain?
It puts the walkie talkie to its eye or else it gets the launch again!!
Hey, I didn't say I was perfect
I just wanna ride with everybody, with exception of the rider who doesn't have his gear and the whole id/insurance etc. I'd be ecstatic to ride with an experienced rider. Yup, sweep is fine by me and I aint slow either. Lol
I'm concerned with sand gravel, tar snakes, darn construction sites and stupid drivers. I need a paintball pistol! Haha

I love the rain, as long as its at the end on the way home It's nice to from 95 degrees down to 65-70.
The road is in great condition. I did this route last weekend (except to Evergreen - I went as far as Pine from Colorado Springs). The road was almost entirely free of sand/gravel (another benefit of the rain). The tar snakes are on 67 just before Deckers gets fun and only last for about a mile.
The "new section" of road (its 5-6 years old now) is still in excellent shape. I didn't notice any significant damage or tar snakes. Horse power Hill (hw 126) is actually in better shape now then it was last year).
Yea hail sucks for sure, 3 times caught in that and hope not any time soon lol... yea early rides are the best for sure. Grim, zach and I did a 5 am run and it was awesome... well almost 5:30 thanks to me actually lol

And btw, you don't even feel rain with full leathers
Jeans on the other hand, its like a thousand needles!
I worry about loss of traction in the rain or hydroplaning (which is really just the same thing). Hydroplaning down I-25 unexpectidly will pucker you up real quick.
If it gets really bad (like the ride to the pre Firecracker 500 bike night) - just pull over under a bridge over pass and wait for the storm to pass (15 minutes, 20 tops).
I don't ride crazy or fast enough to justify $800+ on full leathers. If I did occasional track riding and such then yea... when I got caught in those storms I was still newish to riding and my newbish mind thought getting away faster will do the trick and boy was I wrong lol... definitely know better now haha.

I've already been down and like I said, I'm not the nut job/crazy type rider. I commute and just enjoy the ride, not a slow noob rider by any means but don't take chances I don't need to take mainly being undergeared. I will always ride with my helmet, gloves, jacket and boots (yes I wear tennis shoes when I ride occasionally).
