So far yes, but it's not quite over yet. Long story times 8.
It's still going on. Three of us decided we were not as hard core as the others and for a hotel in Farmington.
"If not us, who? If not now, when?"
Some of us have made it back. Today was a true test, that's for sure. My utmost respect to Cornfed, Drano, Tuitus and Patrick (not sure his board name on here) after what we went through today to get back home. Rain, sleet, rain, snow, more rain, darkness, getting separated from each other etc....I just took a 30 minute hot shower and I wouldn't trade it for an hour with Kate Beckinsale in the sack!
Devil's spine was epic, I can honestly say that I feel like I am a much better rider after this weekend, I learned a lot about myself and my bike. I would do it again in heartbeat (the whole trip) Thanks Clovis for setting it up. And it was good to put some faces to screen names. Cool to meet Aaron and Hotcarcass both have sick bikes. I had a blast riding with everyone. Didn't really have a lot of time to take many pics because we were moving pretty much the whole time. Want to see what it looks like?? I suggest you go for yourself!! :P
From Saturday morning at 6am until 11:55pm Monday night this is what I logged.

Not really exciting pics, but here's a few I took.
Parking in the "harley only" spots! GTFO
Dirty ass R1, and that was only day 2!

Yup that first pic you could have gotten me riding by staring at you guys
Yeah we saw ya, and Drano was waving his arms at you!

Couldnt have said it better. Great trip with a great bunch of guys, and gals. Big thanks to Clovis for organizing it and keeping us on schedule despite a mechanical delay on day one. The big Gixxer blew a fork seal on day one and I didn't want to ride the rest of the trip with a front tire coated in oil and a pogo stick for front forks.
Here is the few pics I did take. As Chaos said, we spent most of our time in the saddle.
My driveway to my driveway.
Breakfast at Jan's.
This ones for Grim. Wish you could have made it.
Its not how fast you go, its how little you slow down.
^^^ ATTA BOY!!!!!!!!
Weather and roads were killer gotta a set of 2 CTS for 280 installed on Monday and went to Florence az and Flying back today. Good ride on the spine guys. The entire thing was balls out. Fn awesome roads here in the az mtns. Lotta good humor and humorous situations present on ole 666. I'll be back in a couple weeks. Can't get enough!!!
Nice, glad you made it there ok! nice meeting ya, and had a good time riding with you.

How was the trip on a sport bike? See a R1 and a Gixxer just the two of yeah? I want do it and will get the air hawk deal Clovis was speaking of but wondering if rear sets and clipons are gonna kill me on the next (sept?) trip.
Aaron and his SKRR was there too.
It wasn't that bad, although I was pretty miserable yesterday but That was mostly due to the rain and being cold. All in all I'll do it again. Definitely recommend some kind of a throttle lock for being able to relax your right hand from time to time on the straights. I was wearing some padded bicycle shorts under my somewhat already padded A* gear and it seemed to help. It's all about sitting and posture options to change riding position to give certain parts of your body a rest here and there.
You have to expect to be getting cramps and aches on a sportbike on long rides.
Pack some Advil!!!

Uggg!! a little sick to my stomach right now. Just washed it and I'm floored at how bad the paint took a beating. Looks like someone took a media blaster to all the front plastics. Going to need to be repainted. Not exaggerating...........
If your bike is nice, get some clear bra or something! fuck

There where a few nasty sand storms in the open areas, looks like you fell victim to one, I had to stop before i hit one i don't need a free sand blast on the bike.
This is after a wash....

^ I wholeheartedly agree!
Totally amazing trip with outstanding riders. The Devil's Highway and HWY 78 were absolutely stellar! Coupled with an amazing group, I felt like I was riding in the presence of Gods. I just trailed behind them in awe. By far the best time I've had on two wheels! Thanks again to Clovis, and it was nice meeting and riding with you all!
Not many photos here either, just more of the same already shown.

Sadly, I too just washed the SV and the paint is totally marred. I tried gently polishing with rubbing compound with no noticeable effect. Wax seemed to clean it up a little bit, but it's pretty much sandblasted.

There are 3 certainties when going on a long ride with Clovis:
- you will get home much later than Clovis says in his intinerary
- you will encounter every type of weather CO has to offer that you never want to experience on 2 wheels
- you will have the ride of your life that you won't soon forget. (no homo!!!)
I hope to be able make the trip in September.

Thanks to Clovis for setting it up. It was nice to meet you and share some of the best roads in the Southwest. It was 3 days of balls to the wall riding. Day three was about 800 miles of. Surprisingly, I'm feeling well today and ready to ride again.
Favorite quote of the trip: "You're not special"!!! Lols
Aaron, myself and Mrs. Clovis made it home safely today around 5.
No tickets, the radar detector saved us multiple times through out the trip.
An epic trip for sure. I'll write up a ride report tonight if I can will myself out of my recliner... I'm still in my leathers.
Very few pictures sadly as we were just constantly pressed for time. Next time this will definanetly be a 4 day trip.
"If not us, who? If not now, when?"
Yes....4 day trip and rain gear!!!!!! dammit
I AM SPECIAL!!!!!!
