Man I bet that kind of Winter prep took you weeks to complete and had to be grueling.
The only thing your bike needs now is a Snuggy and an electric heater just in case that particular part of your house drops below 68F, wouldn't want it to catch a cold now.

I've ridden my old SV1000S in the snow, but not the bmw yet. I think it might be kind of fun with traction control and ABS. Maybe I'll try it this winter, despite having a sneaking suspicion that it'll end bad.
I had the ZX14 out last year when it was a little icy still, do not recommend!
Anyone have that shot of Dysco (Mike) on his BMW, with studded tires, in three-feet of snow getting ready to go to work? We ride our bikes year-'round, but not in three-feet of snow, or any snow!!!
I found the thread, but the photo is gone...

If your not going to be riding I'd throw some stabil in the tank run it for a bit and get a battery tender maybe change the oil. But your next prep step will be trading it in huh!
I remember that pic, but I don't think I have it saved. I think even Dana (Devaclis) had a few crazy winter pictures too on his DRZ. Same as you I always rode year round but never in snowstorms....minus the few unexpected ones I got caught in.
But shhhhhh.......Aaron thinks he is breaking new ground not winterizing his bike....yet I bet 80% of people on this board do not winterize...why, CO has one of the most sunny days still.

Yup, that is all I ever did...battery tender. On the days where we had a winter storm for a few days I did go out and move the bike a little as I heard that helps the tires not wear out from the cold. Not sure the truth of it, but figured it couldn't hurt. Then I just started using two stands so tires never hit that cold ground; only because I had seen old school riders do this.

Couldn't find Disco pic, but during my hunt found some other CSC member pics:

I'm sorry but riding in the snow is lame. You'll never see me do it. I've got a nice huge 4X4 with a heater in it for when it comes time for the cold and to rip some snow.
