Bob needs help please

Ok it looks like we are going to have a problem. As with the events of last summer the Club stepped up and got things taken care of. Well we need to do it again

It appears that because of Bob's employment arrangement he is being reimbursed for his medical insurance, it is not paid directly via his employer. Since he is not able to report to work he is being considered on non paid leave and there for not receiving the reimbursment.

So I need to make sure that his coverage doesn't lapse. Therefore, we need to raise some money. Currently his next bill is due Oct 1st...the bad news it is $448.00 per month

If someone could step up and quickly organize a fund raiser type thing (also include it on the MRA board) so that we can keep his coverage going it would be very much appreciated

Set up a PayPal account or something, nobodies gonna trust DK with their money.

But we should be able to raise enough to reimburse you (and anyone else) paying the lions share up front (IMO)
and still be able to cover Bob till he's back on his feet.

Maybe even consider a running fund to help injured riders out.
Matty, the other rider who was hospitalized Sunday, and the hit and run gal mHm helped come to mind.
But that may be premature, just a thought.

In the first 15 minutes of the thread being posted there were almost $1500 in pledges to help out in this situation. Let's keep it rolling, the expenses associated with a hospital visit like this one are really astronomical.

We've kicked around the idea of an injured riders fund in the past and have always come up against the same wall...who decides who gets money and how much? In this case it's easy, there is a specific need and a specific person we are pledging to help out. It's a great idea, don't get me wrong, we just need to figure out how it gets administered in the future.

There should be a bank account and a paypal link up later today (ralph is seriously kicking ass on this one.)
