    Dude,

It is not that hard. Just get out your sewing machine and make one. Be a trendsetter. Heck, the Wright brothers did it.

    Re: Wingsuit

I've done it (from a plane, not a cliff). The only way you have any business doing it is to get several hundred skydives, then many base jumps without the suit and many skydives with the suit. Then, you might be able to do it reasonably safely.

Or you could just wing it, but make sure to fill out your Darwin award application first.

Edit: If you want to do exactly what they're doing, you're talking about years of experience and thousands of jumps

teamhypoxia - Are you serious? Crap, that's too much involvement.

I'm all over it as long as you get someone to test my homemade wingsuit out!

I need to find out what prices are for this stuff. It looks like it will add up quickly. I just want to buzz some roads like that guy did. Why can't this stuff be as easy and and cheap as learning how to ride a MC?

You should let me know what you can find out? ^^^ I've always been interested. I do have to say yeah I think is called base jumping and is one of the most dangerous things to do. You are better off sky diving.

    http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/ B.A.S.E. forum

    ~$250 for a tandem

~$2500 to go through student progression

    ~$3000 to $6000 for gear

    500 jumps at $25 = ~$12,500

    ~$300-$500 for wingsuit

    ~12,500 for another 500 skydives

    ~$3000 for BASE specific gear

    $????? Bail money, fines, etc.

~$500 plane ticket to Norway +$1000 expenses

If this sounds affordable to you, let me know. We'll hook up and I have some gear to sell you and I'll coach you through your progression. Figure 3 to 5 years at least depending on how fast you learn.

^^^ You dont really need to go to Norway to do that though. I remember this famous wingsuit guy died in Mexico about 2 years ago doing the same thing...

    Re: Wingsuit

I have one of those suits and I use it when I ride - that way if I take that canyon corner too wide I can just bail and float safely back to terra firma. :P
