Server Crash (Sept. 2010) Fallout & How you might be affected

This thread replaces a global announcement, and went into effect on 9/25/2010.

During the first half of September 2010, the CSC server suffered a catastrophic hardware failure which managed to corrupt data even with mirrored drives. An older backup had to be used to recover the site, specifically, almost 1 year old (from October 2009). This means that posts and users created between (approximately) October 5, 2009, and mid-September 2010, no longer exist.

If you created your account during that time, you will have to recreate it. You should be able to use the same username, unless someone else has created an account using that name since the site was brought back up.

If your account was created prior to that, and you are having problems logging in, it may be because you changed your password between Oct. 2009 and Sept. 2010. If you are having trouble retrieving your password, that may be because you changed your email address in the same timeframe. If are experiencing problems getting back into your account, please send an email to cosportbikeclub@hotmail.com and we'll get it figured out (be sure to include your username, as well as any other possible email address it may have been associated with in the past).

If you were a paid yearly or lifetime supporter, that subscription information was also lost during the server crash. Read this for information on how to get your supporter status reinstated.
