Re: New to the SM
Coming from the street to the dirt...
Sumo tires are just fine for all the highway riding you'll inevitably do and they are adequate for a good deal of trails in the area. Sure in you're into having two wheelsets and all the associated troubles...go for it. Otherwise, I can't see 17's being a worse option for a dual sport. |

My SM handles Rampart rather nicely.

Re: New to the SM
Perspective on these cameras does it no justice. And yes the last part is steep and loose and the entire approach is that way and now the "chicken route" we took to the left is now closed off. Since we were on sumo's we took all the chicken routes going up.
Same trail but w/ dirt wheels and no chickens http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJG0iHLse5E |

Re: New to the SM
Yup, that one has a couple of trickier spots! Esp for a 500lbs bike!
