Tips for viewing this site

Updates (Refreshing/Reloading)
This site gets updated frequently, sometimes several times a day. Although we have incorporated code to tell your browser to reload the page, this does not work in all circumstances. If you are having problems, one thing you can always try is to Refresh (Microsoft Internet Explorer), or Reload (Netscape). This is particularly effective when you are trying to view a page that is supposed to have been updated (according to the home page), but you don't see anything new. New stuff has the date it was added beside it (Ex: 7/25). One thing you can keep an eye on is the visitor counter on the home page - it should increase each time you visit the site (using your browser's Back button or clicking on a Back link to bring you to the home page will not update the counter). If the counter updates, you're okay, if not, you may have to manually refresh pages, sorry.

You can also set your browser to automatically refresh (however I've found that this doesn't always work either).
To set your browser to automatically refresh do the following:

Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • select "Tools" from the Internet Explorer menu (version 4 and earlier select "View")
  • select "Internet Options"
  • click the "Settings" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section of the "General" Tab
  • select the radio button "Every visit to the page"
  • click "OK" (on the Settings window)
  • click "OK" (on the Internet Options window)

    Netscape

  • select "Edit" from the Netscape browser menu
  • select "Preferences"
  • click on the "+" beside "Advanced" in the "Category" window
  • click on "Cache" in the "Category" window, below "Advanced"
  • select the radio button "Every time"
  • click "OK"

  • Browsers
This site is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Although it can be viewed with Netscape (excluding version 6) and other browsers, some of the javascript on this site does not work with Netscape. To get the most of of this site, and have it work properly, you should view it with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

    Screen Resolution
Your system's screen resolution should be set to a minimum of 800 x 600.
This can be done as follows:
Note: some operating systems will require you to restart your system in order to complete this process
  • right-click on your desktop
  • select "Properties"
  • select the "Settings" Tab
  • adjust the "Desktop Area" slider accordingly
  • "Test" the new setting (if this feature is offered by your operating system)
  • if the "Test" was sucessful, "Apply" the changes

  • Anything Else
If you are experiencing any problems that are not explained/answered here, please send an email with the details to webmaster@CoSportbikeClub.org.
