Question Recommend GEAR SHOP please! pretty please!

My husband needs some gear. Textile jacket, hot weather gloves, cold weather gloves. I need some gloves that don't remove the skin on my knuckles. So far, the bike shops around Fort Collins have a pretty limited selection. Gloves in stock are $200 A*s, or no-armor leather harley gloves. BMW/Ducati hs some cool stuff, but $$$$.

Looking for a bike shop with a big selection of street gear. We are both hard to fit and want to try stuff on (as opposed to ordering from newenough). Also, this is hubby's first "bike" jacket, so he should try on leather and textile, and see what he likes. In California, I would have gone to Cycle Gear or Chaparall.

So any recommendations for gear shops? Located from Colorago Springs to Cheyenne, we don't mind a bit of a trek. Anyplace stock Dainese?

    +1 for Performance Cycle.

And just make sure neither of you skimp on the gloves. Full leather, zippered or strapped gauntlets, hard armor, etc. (think: race gloves).

I know you mentioned hold/cold gloves, but just don't buy something that is going to immediately slide off your hand when you crash and put your palm down on the asphalt at 30mph. Consider going the rest of your life, tying your shoes w/out thumbs.

    Have fun shopping!

Performance Cycle and Faye Myers have a pretty good selection of most things. I've bought stuff from both, like boots and leathers that I wanted to try on first. Faye Myers had some Dianese leathers when I was in there a few weeks ago.

Today: The Santa Fe shop said they had race pants with slider spots on the phone, but did not at all when I went there.
I guess just plan on going to the store to see what they have...

About 3 weeks ago I bought the last one piece teknic suit that the Sante Fe shop had. The owner (i think) said he had more in storage, but wouldnt bring them over till there was more room. The price was good, $200 for a suit listed with $499 retail. +1 on Fay Myers and Dainese. The Santa Monica jacket rocks

Another +1 for Performace. Stopped in there for the first time today on the hunt for gear for the G/F and was quite impressed. Good service, lots of product and prices were in line. It was also nice to not have to walk through a bike showroom and be hassled by the "sales" staff on the way to the gear and accesories.

They have tons of stuff, and most is cheaper than wholesale.

They don't have Dainese stuff though.

+1 for the guy on santa Fe. I drove from the springs all the way up there for a couple of joe rocket mesh jackets with the rain liner. I only paid $100 a piece. I'm going back up there for gloves, stands, and anything else i can find in May.

That place is getting pretty picked over but I was able to pick up a nice pair of http://www.alpinestars.com/Ridge_Wat.../p/244207.html for $55 today. Oh, and to anyone going there, please be kind enough to leave the blue black and white leather joe rocket blaster jacket there for one more week

HAHA! I was eyeing that same blue black and white leather when I was there on Saturday!
If anyone needs it, they have fairing bolt kits up front, and fender eliminators, etc. for killer prices. I also saw a set of lowering links for an SRAD there.
They have 2 full leather suits there one Yamaha and both were smaller (I wanna say they were both 40's) but woulda been 50% off.

Another shameless plug for Chris and Performance Cycle... that guy has hands down been the most helpful person I've dealt with, from buying my initial gear last year to getting my new Pitbull stand last week.
