*600 mile ride* on Saturday 10/20

When: MoCo 5:00am (kickstands up at 5:30am) Saturday 10/20/2007, and yes I know that's early as f%&k.

Where: A loop through Colorado (602 miles)... not a newbie ride or a ride for a "fair weather" rider who's asses gets numb after riding for an hour or two. This trip will likely run from sun up to sun down, and then some. Here's a map.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...=UTF8&z=7&om=1

Why: Why not? We live in the best damn state in the country for riding a sportbike... let's get out there and have an adventure.

    Pace: Ride your own ride!

Notes: Be prepared! Dress in layers! Wear enough gear to keep you warm. This trip is weather permitting. This means, if it's likely to snow anywhere along this route, the trip won't happen. Right now weather.com show this entire weekend being 60's and Sunny up in the hills and likely 70s in town, and 40s - 50s along the higher mountain passes. It's still a ways out... but it looks like it'll be real nice.

Say, that is nearly the same route we took a few weeks back. Except that we came down I-70 to Climax and over Indy Pass and then through Paonia to State 65.

Make sure you bring your camera
Chew gum going up and down 65 as the elevation changes fast and the ears will get zinged. Looks like a great ride! Nice notes, too.

We were up in that neck of the woods as well recently.
Great loop you have there, except the I70 slab.
At least you have a resonable start time and mileage planned.
I would love to join you but have commited to others already.
    Have fun.

I'm going to try and make it to that ride if I can - bike availability permitting.
