    Single Track Mind

I am sure there have been a few plugs to Dave @ Single Track Mind
http://www.fixmybike.com but I am adding another.
Dave is not only a great guy and loves what he does, but he knows his #*$!
If you are looking for suspension help, suspension set up, suspension upgrades, suspension service, etc......you really need to give Dave a call or an email!!
Dave has helped me with my race bike for the last 2 seasons with tuning the suspension, explaining why the bike does what it does, and replacing those darn fork seals when I am too lazy to do it myself.
Honestly the guy is worth at least 5X what he charges and a quality individual.
I have had a re-occuring fork seal issue and today we tore them both down and inspected for cause. Unfortunetly we didn't find any outstanding evidence, but the forks are back to good or better than new and once again I LEARNED a ton from him.
HUGE PROPS TO DAVE @ SINGLE TRACK MIND!! He knows his stuff and if he doesn't....you won't get some BS answer either.

Thanks again Dave and you will be missed in Hastings!!

It's the testing that makes Dave so good. Here we see a test in "failure mode"

Working with dave has helped to shave seconds off of my lap and made the bike feel much better under my hind end. I think one of the keys is that Dave understands that going faster is about a relationship between the bike the rider and the technician. He seeks to communicate clearly, asks great questions and is completely open to feedback. It's great to work with him.

I've spent a lot of time talking with Dave about that, actually - and how well you guys communicate with one another on suspension changes.

Now, here I am trying to get people to lay off the Scott crashing jokes and you go posting something like this.

But a big +1 on Dave's skills with suspensions. He spent a few minutes with my Gixxer and eliminated a problem I was having under heavy braking. And that was with the stock suspension. I can't wait to see what he'll do when I give him real equipment to work with.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
