Moto GP testing out a new safety feature, which was developed initially for recreation. The "velcro wall" requires all riders to wear velcro on their suits to prevent the bouncing and tumbing usually associated with crashes. So far only one rider has had the opportunity to test it out and it appears to have worked well, perhaps too well. The race ended up having to be red flagged as crews were unable to remove the rider from the wall in time to prevent him from being in the impact zone. Pedrosa then re-mounted his bike (caught in one of the other saftey devices, the king size jump-a-thon inflatable jumping castle) and was able to re-start the race.
